What are your typical opening hours?
10am – 5pm 7 days a week but the last booking for starting a MYO experience is 4pm.

What is the cost of a MYO perfume and are there any other product options?
The minimum cost is $65 which includes around 45 minutes to design your perfume, fill a 15 mL bottle with EDT and label it. A 50 mL of EDT costs $90. A 15 mL of EDP is $80 and a 50 mL EDP is $110. You can also put your perfume into 80gms of hand cream, 100 mLs room spray or body oil, 80 mLs room diffuser, or 15 mLs of a car vent air freshener for $65 each.

Typically around 45 minutes.

What is the minimum and maximum number of people for a MYO?
The minimum is 1 and the maximum is 25 but contact us if you have a larger group and wish to book out the entire studio.

Is there a minimum age to do a MYO?
We reserve the right to determine who can do a MYO and discourage anyone under 10. However, it is up to the parent or guardian to initially determine suitability and they would need to be present during the session.

Are there specific times you run a MYO?
No. We use a hands-on process which can be introduced any time someone wants to start.

Do you have to book for a MYO and can I book for the same day I want to come in?
Bookings are preferred, especially on a Saturday but walk-ins are possible if there is room. For same-day bookings, a phone call direct to the Studio after 10am is best, as it is highly unlikely that an email booking request will be answered or confirmed on the same day.

Do you have group discounts?
No, because the larger the group, the more staff we need to roster on to provide support.

What is the difference between an EDT (Eau de Toilette) and an EDP (Eau de Parfum)?
An EDT lasts 2-4 hours on the skin. An EDP lasts 6-8 hours because it is double the concentration and is therefore both a stronger and longer lasting perfume. An EDT is recommended for anyone who is very sensitive to aromas or for anyone who is quite young.

Do you use natural perfume oils?
We use both natural oils and aroma-chemicals because natural components tend to be short-lived on the skin and in the bottle. Aroma-chemicals offer a much broader range of components that can be used in a perfume such as fig, lily of the valley, pear, etc.

Can I ask for specific components apart from the MYO set you provide and is there a cost for this?
Yes, we have 200+ individual components available but usually limit customisation requests to 3. The cost is $5 per extra component because thesemust be added manually to your fragrance by a staff member.

Can you make a man’s fragrance?
Absolutely! Our available standard ingredients include herbs, menthol, tobacco, leather, spice, cedarwood, sandalwood and oakmoss. Up to 3 further custom fragrance ingredients from over 200 are available upon request.

Can you re-create a Brand fragrance?
We no longer offer this service, as it takes many hours of work and analysis to even get to an approximate match. Therefore, it is very expensive and time-consuming to do and sometimes people are still not satisfied unless it is exact. If you instead want to try to do this yourself using our MYO system we can support this with advice, and access to over 200 custom fragrance ingredients but it would be your nose that determines the final outcome. The cost for this is the usual MYO cost plus custom items if these are used.

Do you ship nationally and internationally?
Yes. Nationally the courier fees are $25 for a alcohol-based perfume, which must travel over-land. Fees are lower for other products. Internationally the ethyl alcohol in our product is replaced with a light, sprayable oil, as used in the Middle East and Asia. International postage would vary depending on the destination country and address so please just get in touch with us by email if you are seeking an international delivery.

What is the cost of re-makes and how do I order these?
Remakes of the 15 mL EDT are $35; 50 mL EDT is $65; 15 mL EDP is $45; 50 mL EDP is $80. Other products such as hand cream etc are $35 for a remake except diffusers which are $45. These can be ordered via our website or in the Studio using your code if you have one (from 2022 on) or by providing the information from your recipe card.
